City Hall > Winter Park, Florida
Overview
When the need arose for Winter Park, Florida to renovate its aging City Hall, the decision was made to create an innovative mixed-use, public/private project. Pizzuti Solutions was called in to develop the concept and make it happen. Heading a core development group, Pizzuti conducted surveys of residents, held public meetings and met with the Chamber and Commissioners to gain a better understanding of their ideas and visions for the town.
Results
The solution proposed by Pizzuti and accepted by the City is a $40 million public/private complex which includes a three-story structure with a 75,000 square-foot City Hall, 30,000 square feet of retail/entertainment space, 100 residential condos and a 550-space parking garage. The project stands as an excellent example of the best of what a public/private partnership can be, and propels Winter Park to the forefront of the national public/private trend.
