Overview

City and county officials in Deland, Florida, understood that parking issues were affecting their downtown central business district and the local government facilities. They were also concerned about maintaining the viability of an active historic downtown and Main Street program. Pizzuti Solutions was selected as part of a team to develop a public lands and parking space needs analysis for the city.

Results

The project team is creating a plan that will identify a preferred mix of land uses that helps ensure future growth and further establish downtown Deland as a retail and service hub. The team will explore creative parking and funding strategies, evaluate potential public-private partnerships, and identify opportunities to use publicly owned lands.
