Historic Gateway > Dunedin, Florida
Overview
The city of Dunedin, Florida, is located on central Florida’s west coast. City officials wanted to redevelop the gateway into the city’s historic downtown area, and turned to Pizzuti Solutions for a plan that both blends into the fabric of the community and provides exciting mixed-use opportunities to area residents and businesses.
Results
Pizzuti Solutions created a development plan for the 4.1-acre site that calls for a mix of office space and retail areas, a gourmet market, and more than three dozen residential units. The resulting development will create a pedestrian-friendly environment that establishes a landmark entrance to downtown Dunedin without sacrificing the area’s small-town ambiance.

Dunedin Gateway project moves forward
[7/14/2008] The Dunedin Gateway project is currently in the design phase.

The City of Dunedin has approved the project’s preliminary site plan, and the final site plan was submitted in early July.

Demolition of the existing structures is scheduled for December 2008 and construction is expected to begin in April 2009.

In addition, the State of Florida has announced the allocation of $1.3 million to extend streetscaping and make infrastructure improvements in the project area.

Grubb & Ellis has been engaged as the project’s leasing agent and is working with prospective tenants on pre-lease agreements. Additional information is available at www.dunedingateway.net.
