Overview

As MAJOR LEAGUE SOCCER continued to grow in popularity, Crew officials recognized the need to expand its training facility and provide much-needed soccer infrastructure in central Ohio. Pizzuti Solutions was chosen to serve as the team’s Program Manager, coordinating site selection and financial pro forma feasibility, and providing Owner’s Representative services. The project will include a new indoor training center and soccer complex suitable for hosting international, youth and amateur tournaments, while providing the MLS franchise with state-of-the-art training and practice facilities.

Results

Pizzuti Solutions developed a Request for Development Partner which was distributed to more than two dozen central Ohio communities. The Solutions team, working closely with Columbus Crew officials, reviewed proposals submitted by communities interested in hosting the training center and soccer complex. A development agreement will be negotiated with a local community that will be home to THE facility.
